Our church came into being circa 1840. The date on the first deed is July 10, 1840, first meeting in a home and then through a generous gift of land, Mt Pleasant Church was built.
It was first called Mount Pleasant Methodist Episcopal Church. Built on a rich heritage, Mount Pleasant Church is located at 1713 Liberty Grove Road, Colora, Cecil County, Maryland. Our membership draws together a diverse community of all ages comprised of families, students, singles and seniors. Everyone is welcome to worship with us. We gather for worship at 10:00 am on Sundays and our worship style is informal – come as you are – that is the way Jesus loves you and so will we.
